Ra Tamil Movie Review

Critic Reviews- (Ratings out of 10)

  •  Times Of India | Review By -M Suganth Rating-7
Finally, it looks like horror films in Tamil are coming of age. Ra is essentially a haunted house thriller but the writers Ashraf and Prabu Yuvaraj (the hero and the director of the film respectively) introduce an element of fantasy that gives it a different colour. And, their treatment isn't kitschy

  •  The Hindu | Review By -Sudhir Srinivasan
All through the film and even well after it, you aren’t sure what the real story of Ra is. It seems like a medley of edible ingredients that doesn’t make a tasteful dish. You realise how this must have come about when you pay attention to the credits. Much like a Wikipedia article citing references

  •  Book My Show | Review By -Raisa Nasreen Rating-5
Tamil horror films work on a universal code – a ghastly image, a lady possessed by a spirit, gory visuals and don’t forget, dolls that can turn their heads 360 degrees. But this isn’t the case anymore, a far better example of a Tamil horror film would be director Prabhu Yuvaraj’s film, Ra.

  •  Behind Woods | Rating-4
A palatial modern bungalow with few inhabitants, eerie silences broken by sudden sound bursts, doors that thud without any reason, whooshing resonance that forebode unnatural events, spirits that pop up at the most unexpected times and television and music system operating
