Critic Reviews Loveshuda

  • Bollywood Hungama | Review By -BH News Network Rating-4/10
The music (Mithoon, Parichay) of the film is very youthful and trendy, and should connect well with the youth. The film's background music (John Stewart Eduri) is decent but way too loud at some places. While the cinematography (Bijitesh De) is good, the film's editor should have really reduced the length of the second half which is stretched endlessly for no reason. On the whole, LOVESHHUDA is an amalgamation of famous rom-coms from both Hollywood and Bollywood with good music but fails to make an impact as it offers nothing new.

  • Times Of India | Review By -Meena Iyer Rating-4/10
The script that is inspired by the Hollywood franchise Hang Over and the Hindi franchise Pyar Ka Punchnama comes unstuck. The whole "not being able to remember what I did in my drunken state," and reliving the scenario the next morning has no deja vu. Instead, it's a terrible mishmash of nothingness. Also for a romantic film to go boom, there should be real passion between its lead players. Individually the boy and the girl aren't too bad but where is the chemistry between you, guys? You cannot ignite a spark here, leave alone a flame.

  • Bollywood Life | Review By -Moumita Bhattacharjee Rating-3/10
Love story is a surefire formula but it is also the most conveniently misused plot in Bollywood. Throw in a boy with complexities with a girl who knows how to live life and you have a romance ready to be sculpted into a film. Even the vice versa is true. Loveshhuda is nothing but old wine in an old bottle or vodka or beer or whatever you can drink up!

  • Deccan Chronicle | Review By -Rohit Bhatnagar Rating-2/10
The 131 minutes of this film has just been padded up with fancy locations, barrels of alcohol and lots of big wet kisses. Looking for anything more in this film, is like finding old wine in a new bottle. I believe that the entire budget must have been spent on expensive brands of alcohol. From bachelor parties to an expected climax, alcohol travels in every frame. It is the true hero in the film in every possible manner!

  • Koimoi | Review By -Surabhi Redkar Rating-2/10
LoveShhuda has an extremely weak plot because the lead characters themselves are flawed. Misra picks up elements from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Love Aaj Kal. If aping these two amazing films was any less, one of the most romantic scenes from The Notebook where Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams dance in the middle of the street without music is also lifted.
