Critic Reviews Sarrainodu

  • Chitramala | Review By -Vikram Guru Rating-5/10
There is no change in the screenplay which went awry in the first half of the first half itself and and gained momentum in the latter half of first half and go into its regular awry way in second half. This movie is a oora mass commercial entertainer from Boyapati Sreenu with Allu Arjun which has its pros and cons stuffed together. Below average second half and it’s last 30 mins, mediocre screenplay are spoilers of the movie. To sum up, it’s a Allu Arjun’s Oora Mass Show!!

  • Times Of India | Review By -Pranita Jonnalagedda Rating-6/10
From eventually meeting his nemesis to harassing a girl into falling for him to being let go scot-free despite his numerous run-ins with the law, there's no element in the formula that he misses. Also, the usual gravity defying stunts, the punch dialogues, flexing of muscles and reddening of the eye are a key part of the puzzle that makes the formula.

  • The Hindu | Review By -Sangeetha Devi Dundoo Rating-5/10
At 159 minutes, Sarrainodu entertains in parts but struggles to keep you hooked. The entertainment comes from the fact that there’s an actor in control, who rises above the mediocre, redundant plot. Allu Arjun merits attention when he’s in the frame. There are more than enough dance numbers to showcase his fine dancing skills and well choreographed action

  • Behindwoods | Review By -Avinash Pandian Rating-5/10
Sarrainodu has too many violent fight scenes. The action block around the interval gives you a good rush. The problem with Sarrainodu is that you don't have any great scenes that stay in your mind when you walk out of the theatre. Charismatic screen presence of Allu Arjun makes this clichéd film watchable!

  • India Today | Review By -Kirubhakar Purushothaman Rating-5/10
As always, Allu Arjun is at his best. Not only during the action blocks, the actor scores even during the lighter parts of the films. And it is a treat to watch this guy dance. He is omnipresent in the movie. Even if there is a scene without him, it will be about him. Yet, you are not bored of watching this guy.

  • DNA | Review By -Latha Srinivasan Rating-5/10
The movie, which is heavy on action and violence, unfortunately, has a weak storyline. There are many instances that seem to test the audience’s intelligence and patience levels. For example, Gana pursues Hansita because he loves her and for no legitimate reason is set to marry another woman. The movie relies too much on its fight sequences to keep the audience engaged. But, coupled with a clichéd and unconvincing story, the 159-minute film is too long for comfort.

  • New Indian Express | Review By -Suhas Yellapantula
Sarrainodu's biggest problem is its wafer-thin plot. With either a song or an extended fight sequence every 15 minutes, it seems like the attempt is more at pumping in mass elements than to produce a good story. The humour fails to make any impact at all and seasoned comedians like Brahmanandam and Pridhviraj are wasted in this film. Other attempts at humour, by women in Allu Arjun's family, fall flat.

  • Filmi Beat | Review By -Pravallika Anjuri Rating-5/10
On the whole, Sarainodu is a well-blended commercial mix, with a bit of sentiment, comedy, glamour and a lot of action. Give it a watch for the blockbuster performance of Allu Arjun and of course, the film served its purpose in showcasing the actor as a potential mass icon.

  • 123 Telugu | Review By -123 Telugu Team Rating-6/10
Sarrainodu is indeed a Oora mass entertainer. The film has many elements which will enthrall the fans and general audience big time. Bunny’s stunning transformation, Aadi’s screen presence and amazing action sequences are huge assets. If you are OK with too much violence and manage to bear the last fifteen minutes, you can happily watch Sarrainodu, which will end up as a typical masala entertainer this summer.

Entertainment present in the first half goesmissing in hte second half.Though the film has two glamorous heroines, two are confined only todancing with the hero in songs. Aadi Pinisetty attracted as villain. The weak story didnot get even the technical support in form of music.Sarrainodu is only for fans.

  • Indiaglitz | Review By -Indiaglitz Rating-6/10
Technically, this is Boyapati's best ever.  Thaman's music and BGM are a great asset, so also Rishi Punjabi's cinematography (especially Telusa Telusa number).  The art direction is another plus. An oldish formula and story line.  Bunny is immensely watchable in the massiest ever role of his.  Watch out for enthralling action.  Expect no wow stuff except for Bunny.
