Critic Reviews Akira

  • Bangalore Mirror | Review By -Shyam Prasad S Rating-3/10
A plain story, confusing screenplay, uninspiring incidents, lousy narrative and forgettable dialogues are wrapped in a lavish set up and booming music. The colourful visuals and lively tunes hardly make up for the rest of the defective elements. Akira is boring at best and a sleeping tablet at its worst.

  • Times Of India | Review By -Sunayana Suresh Rating-5/10
When it comes to performances, Anish stands tall and delivers his all. Krishi and Aditi are more than just props and do justice to their roles. The film scores big on production values, especially with the locales, music score by B Ajaneesh Loknath and the cinematography by Yogi. Unfortunately, the film wanders too much in trying to satisfy the commercial audiences that the essence is lost. A little more tautness in the screenplay might have been the order.
