  • Times Of India | Review By -Sanjith Sidhardhan Rating-5/10
The comedy though - except for scenes with Kalabhavan Shajon, Rafi and Kunchacko - falls flat with lines that are heard before. Plus, the background score is sometimes too jarring. The movie is also loaded with tributes to several films including 'Thalapathi', 'Titanic', Ennu Ninte Moideen, Inale and Tower Heist. With the sort of star cast assembled, it could have been a laugh riot but instead this movie is just an average fare with just a few good jokes.

In all fairness, this one is a decent entertainer for those who are in the cinema hall just to laugh their hearts out. Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum gives you exactly what you want this festive season - loads of fun, along with the rightful amount of suspense and romance.

The mystery of P is solved in the end but the writing has the usual mandatory twists and turns. There's nothing unusual to hold the viewer's attention. There seems to be a missing element in the film. On the whole, Shajahanum Pareekkuttiyum is a lackluster beginning to the festivities.

Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum, is a film which would entertain you at parts. The film did have a promising plot but falters in between. But still, if you can forgive the logical mistakes and if your idea of entertainment means some good laughs, Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum might turn out to be a one-time watch.

  • Now Running | Review By -Veeyen Rating-4/10
Boban Samuel's latest film is a mash up of outlandish gags that could have you breaking out into a guffaw or two and then head back home wondering what had actually hit your senses a couple of hours back! While it remains that it is neither ill intentioned or resolutely insolent, 'Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum' harps on a retrograde theme that hardly has a place today, whichever way you look at it.

  • Behindwoods | Review By -BW Review Rating-4/10
Aju Varghese’s jokes might not live up to the expectation, but have performed decently. Suraj Venjarammoodu performs well throughout and director Rafi definitely deserves a special mention for his good acting. Cinematography by Anishlal R S and Music by Gopi Sunder are functional. The film has its moments, but is recommended only if you are ready to leave out your brains and laugh at anything.
