Critic Reviews Chuttalabbayi

  • Times of India | Review By -Srividya Palaparthi Rating-3/10
To sum it up though, comedy was extremely unfunny. Chuttalabbayi is a cringe-fest with neither a particular plotline, nor a shred of screenplay. There is nothing memorable about the movie except for how frustrated it would makes you.

Chuttalabbayi is one film which has an interesting first half. Aadi’s sincere performance and some good comedy by Pruthvi are basic assets. On the film flip side, lack of novel story line and interesting moments during the second half makes this film worth a watch strictly for a few laughs.

Chuttalabbayi also has many illogical scenes with a mediocre story and screenplay. Overall, Chuttalabbayi has nothing to offer and Aadi has to wait for some more time to get a good hit. The very same conclusion applies to director Veerabhadram.

  • AP Herald | Review By -Common Man Rating-3/10
The first half of Chuttalabbayi is watchable and second half is too shallow and it tests our patience. The movie doesn't offer anything new with an outdated story and beaten to death screenplay. The few jokes here and there evokes smile on audience. Nothing else to brag about. If you have ample time to kill, watch this one on theatre.

  • The Hindu | Review By -Srivathsan Nadadhur
Ali’s Kidnap Krish act comes too late and doesn’t evoke laughter. Composer S. Thaman’s in reasonable form though, as he infuses some energy into the background score and select numbers. Lesser characters and a crisp run-time could have easily salvaged this. A masala overdose limits Chuttalabbayi’s ability to entertain. Overall, Chuttalabbayi is a lost opportunity.

  • Chitramala | Review By -Vikram Guru Rating-3/10
Director Veerabhadram has designed very weak characters which fail to add to the depth of the story. Ali and Prudhvi made this Chuttalabbai partly enjoyable but the story and other things make us reject this movie. To sum up, Chuttalabbai is a formulaic attempt from Aadi and Sai Kumar with Veerabadhram.
