Critic Reviews Majnu

  • The Hindu | Review By -Sangeetha Devi Dundoo Rating-6/10
Majnu is enjoyable but not unique. The film is peppered with situational comedy throughout. One just wished that the film had been as endearing as the heartfelt letter that plays a key role. Overall, humour and an effortlessly winning performance by Nani saves a predictable film.

  • Times of India | Review By -Karthik Pasupalate Rating-7/10
The cinematography and writing top the list followed by Nani's acting. Most importantly, how the filmmmaker manages to dish out the entertainment without diluting the intensity and innocence of the romance is note worthy. Definitely worth a watch.

  • Deccan Chronicle | Review By -Suresh Kavirayani Rating-6/10
The cinematography by V.S. Gnanasekhar is good. He has captured some beautiful locations. To sum up, 'Majnu' is a simple and pleasant love story. And though the second half is a bit predictable, director Virinchi Varma has succeeded in making a neat film.

  • Indian Express | Review By -Krishna Vamsi Rating-6/10
The script is predictable and often seen. Director Varinchi’s script is old and the narrative is sketchy. The plot also falls flat as the film progresses. A twist stands between us and boredom. A twist and Nani — the film’s Majnu.

  • 123 Telugu | Review By -123Telugu Rating-6/10
Nani gives a terrific performance in Majnu and is the major reason for everyone to watch this film. A breezy first half and happy climax are basic assets. If you ignore the routine storyline, Nani and team will make sure that Majnu will end up as a entertaining watch this weekend.

  • Now Running | Review By -NR Review Rating-5/10
The Production Values of Gemini Kiran's Anandi Arts and Keva Movies are Good as well. Finally, Majnu is a breezy entertainer with entertainment as the mantra. There is nothing novel but then no heavy moments or boringly routine scenes. Give it a try this weekend!

  • AP Herald | Review By -Siva Kumar Rating-6/10
Majnu is a simple love story completely filled with all entertainment values. The movie has more to offer than just Love. Nani's script selection is wise.  Technical wise the movie is too good to handle. Music and Cinematography is the biggest strength of the movie. We have a clear winner here. On the flip side, the movie lacks emotional depth in latter half.

  • Chitramala | Review By -Vikram Guru Rating-6/10
Songs come at right places and are higly engaging and enjoyable. The flaw that can be noticed in scripting is Kiran changing his mind in the matter of Aditya. It seemed so not convincing. The result of this movie would have been negative if not for Nani. To sum up, this Majnu is an addition to the hit movies list of Nani.
