  • Times of India | Review By -Renuka Vyavahare Rating-6/10
Boasting of a clean family humour, Vijay doesn’t try too hard to please his audience and gets brownie points for keeping things sweet and simple. Despite being a tad underwhelming, Tutak Tutak Tutiya is a fairly enjoyable film that can be watched on a family outing.

Tutak Tutak Tutiya movie review: There is no comedy here, only horror. What happens when Prabhu Deva is not given enough dance numbers but is expected to act and Tamannah Bhatia is turned into a sari-clad frump? Horror!

  • Koimoi | Review By -Surabhi Redkar Rating-4/10
Horror comedy is a great genre to explore but this film limits itself to silly antics. Tutak Tutak Tutiya is the kind of movie one enjoy on TV. This is not a film for which you’d want to spend money in a theater.

If you are looking for an entertaining, paisa-vasool movie, Tutak Tutak Tutiya should be your pick. Prabhudeva’s comedy and of course, his dance is what makes this worth it. Look elsewhere for a soul-stirring piece of art.

Why is this film called what it is? Apart from the iconic Punjabi number (which has an additional Tutak), we can’t find a sound enough reason. If you’re one for typical South Indian dubbed films that play on loop on weekends, this one’s for you. Otherwise, wait for the satellite release.

  • Deccan Chronicle | Review By -Arnab Banerjee Rating-2/10
Watching this horror-comedy evoked getting lost in a plot with too many possibilities of a story idea that goes bonkers with many unneeded variations. In trying to resolve loose ends in a weak storyline, the director falls flat. There may be a certain amount of mystery in the twisty narrative, but sitting through it there’s just as much frustration as well.

The music is nothing great. The humour even more forced than one would expect. You're going to wonder why such films even get a Hindi release like this. Prabhudheva can dance and we know that it works. Why not a little more of that, please?

  • Bollywood Hungama | Review By -BH Review Rating-4/10
The film’s editing (Anthony) is average and could have done much better in the film’s second half. The film’s cinematography (Manush Nandan) is decent. On the whole, TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA scores purely on its novel concept.

The film is illogical but no one’s complaining. Hard nosed intellectuals should stay away. The film is a 126 minutes of entertainment. It’s the kind of film you watch, enjoy and forget. Overall the film is entertaining. I am going with earnest three out five. Go in and enjoy the film.

No pretensions or self-indulgence, and you have a product which makes you grin almost till the end. That's M Vijay's latest film Tutak Tutak Tutiya. Neither the director nor Sonu Sood (producer) try to make you believe at any point that they've made intelligent stuff, so you'll be pleasantly surprised that the film has a story and an element of suspense as well.

  • Now Running | Review By -Manisha Lakhe Rating-4/10
There are many songs in the film but none memorable despite Prabhu Deva's dancing. Had the tale been told without wandering after every gag, the film would have been more enjoyable. Wait for it to show up on cable.
